205: The Basics of Attachment (Sort Of)

We are talking about some of the fundamental concepts that are explained by Attachment Theory. We look into insecure-anxious attachment, insecure-avoidant attachment, and secure and disorganized attachment to a lesser extent. We try to use real world examples to discuss what being caught up in an attachment reaction looks and feels like. We talk about interconnections to Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, Imago and the push/pull dynamic that happens between opposing attachment types. Join us as we begin to explore attachment.
